Shared standards and ecosystem goods
About
Foundation
The Scintilla Foundation is the institutional steward of the broader Scintilla Ecosystem: initiatives concerned with adjudicating consequential claims under explicit, contestable rules.
Why the Foundation exists
Scintilla’s core concern is adjudication: who decides consequential claims, under what rules, and under what authority. That problem is institutional as well as technical. The Foundation stewards the boundaries, frameworks, and shared goods required to keep those mechanisms legitimate.
What the Foundation stewards
Shared goods, governance boundaries, and long-term legitimacy.
Governance boundaries
Audit expectations and supporting transparency artifacts
Role separation and resistance to capture

What the Foundation is not
- Not a commercial application operator
- Not a discretionary authority meant to substitute for explicit mechanism
- Not a marketing shell or token-promotion vehicle
- Not a place where legitimacy is collapsed into product incentives
Institutional character
- Explicit rules over hidden judgment
- Bounded authority over discretionary expansion
- Legibility over institutional mystique
- Integrity over convenience
- Discipline over speed
- Long-horizon legitimacy over market theater
